Limits are shared across all API keys in a workspace: Multiple keys do not multiply these limits. Usage and request history share a separate 60-per-minute account limit. HTTP 429 indicates a workspace rate, concurrency, or quota limit. Shared data-source capacity can also temporarily return HTTP 503 with code upstream_rate_limited. Failed requests consume zero units. Honor Retry-After when returned; its value is the number of seconds to wait before retrying. Use bounded backoff with jitter for transient failures; do not retry authentication, invalid inputs, unsupported capabilities, or exhausted quota indefinitely. Keep one idempotency key for retries of the same REST data request. Use a client timeout long enough for the API’s request window, and record X-Request-Id when contacting support.
